Situated Knowledges brought together artists exploring the unstable idea of home within the converted house of Borderspace Gallery, Chippendale.
Working across photography, installation and sculpture, the exhibition traced memories embedded in flood-damaged family archives, inherited objects and domestic spaces. These works ask how ideas of belonging, care, displacement and violence become woven into the places we inhabit.
By transforming a former house into a site of artistic encounter, Situated Knowledges invited audiences to reconsider home not as something continually shaped by memory, history and the lives that pass through it.
Thank you to the arts and community who made the night such a success, and who continue to show what becomes possible when people come together.
