Terms and Conditions Imprint Australia Events

1. Submission Requirements
1.1 A non-refundable entry fee of $60 is required to complete each submission.
1.2 All artworks must be submitted with a clear, high-quality photograph attached to the application form.
1.3 Applications without an accompanying image will not be accepted under any circumstances.
1.4 Artists may submit multiple artworks; however, a separate application form and entry fee must be submitted for each work.

Artwork Size Eligibility
- Maximum dimensions: 1.8m (L) × 1m (W), including frame


1.5 All artworks must be exhibition-ready, fitted with secure D-rings and wire/string appropriate for professional hanging.
1.6 Hanging hardware (hooks, wires, or alternative systems) will not be supplied by Imprint Australia or the gallery space
1.7 Artworks delivered without adequate or secure hanging attachments will be refused, and entry fees will not be refunded.


2. Labelling Requirements
2.1 The artist’s full name, contact details, and artwork title must be clearly marked on the back of the artwork, or provided on an attached label/form supplied at delivery.
2.2 Labels must be legible and securely affixed to prevent separation during handling.

3. Delivery & Collection
3.1 Artwork Delivery
- Works must be delivered by 10:00am, Wednesday 18th February 2026
- Late submissions cannot be accepted or accommodated.
3.2 Artwork Collection
- Works must be collected at 2:00pm, Tuesday 24th February 2026
- No early or late collection arrangements will be available.
3.3 Both artists and purchasers are responsible for collecting artworks at the specified time.
3.4 A non-collection fee of $20 per day will apply to any work not collected within the designated collection period.
3.5 Works remaining uncollected for over 30 days may be deemed abandoned and disposed of at the discretion of Imprint Australia.

4. Exhibition Duration
4.1 All artworks accepted into the exhibition must remain on display for the full duration of the event.
4.2 Requests for early removal will not be approved except in the case of emergencies, as deemed and approved by Imprint Australia.
4.3 If an artwork is removed without approval, an early-removal fee will be charged, and future participation may be restricted.

5. Originality & Copyright
5.1 All submitted artworks must be original, created by the submitting artist, and free from infringement of copyright, trademarks, moral rights, or any third-party intellectual property.
5.2 The artist is solely responsible for ensuring that their submission complies with Australian copyright legislation.
5.3 Imprint Australia accepts no responsibility for any copyright disputes arising from submitted works.

6. Insurance & Liability
6.1 While every reasonable precaution will be taken during handling, display, and storage, Imprint Australia of Arts accept no responsibility or liability for loss, theft, damage, or deterioration of artworks.
6.2 Insurance coverage for artworks during transport, installation, exhibition, and storage is the sole responsibility of the artist.
6.3 Artists are strongly encouraged to arrange their own insurance prior to delivery.7. Sales & Commission

Sales and Commission
7.1 Imprint Australia will retain a 20% commission on all artwork sales.
7.2 Sale prices must be clearly indicated prior to exhibition and cannot be altered after submission without written approval.
7.3 Payments for sold works will be processed within 14 days after the exhibition closes, minus the commission.
7.4 GST obligations, if applicable, are the responsibility of the artist.

8. Artist Fees
8.1 Entry fees are strictly non-refundable, including but not limited to circumstances where
- The artwork does not meet submission or size requirement
- The artwork is delivered without proper hanging hardware
- The artist withdraws after acceptance
- The artist fails to deliver the work on the specified date
8.2 No credits or transfers will be issued for future exhibitions.

9. Right to Refuse, Curate, or Remove Works
9.1 Submission does not guarantee acceptance due to limited exhibition space and curatorial considerations.
9.2 Imprint Australia reserves the right to decline artworks based on perceived
- Suitability and theme coherence
- Technical issues
- Space limitations
- Safety concerns
- Condition upon delivery
- Ethical concerns
9.3 Imprint Australia reserves the right to remove works during the exhibition if they pose safety risks, deteriorate, or breach these Terms & Conditions.

10. Photography, Media and Promotion
10.1 By submitting an artwork, artists grant Imprint Australia and Rofe Street Gallery permission to:
- Photograph artworks
- Use artwork images for promotional materials, social media, and documentation
- Reproduce artwork images in marketing collateral for this and future exhibitions
10.2 This permission extends to media organisations covering the exhibition.
10.3 Artists retain full copyright and moral rights to their work.

11. Conduct and Compliance
11.1 Artists must comply with all instructions issued by gallery staff or volunteers regarding delivery, installation, and safe handling.
11.2 Any artwork deemed unsafe, unstable, hazardous, or damaged upon arrival may be refused or removed at the gallery’s discretion.
11.3 Artists must behave respectfully within the gallery environment. Behaviour that endangers staff, visitors, or artworks may result in immediate disqualification.

12. Acceptance of Terms
12.1 Submission of an artwork constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
12.2 Artists acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all clauses outlined in this document.
